This step-by-step guide will show you how to use Aimersoft DVD Ripper for Mac to rip general DVD (copy-protected included) on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) for iPod, PSP, Zune, iPhone 4, Apple TV, etc. It includes two parts:

Part 2. How to edit (trim, crop, join) DVD movie on Mac OS X

 

1. Trim DVD movie: If you want to capture certain part of the DVD movie, you can click "Trimming" from the hovering button to customize the conversion time, there will be a timeline below the preview window, you can drag the little triangle icon to set the conversion start time and end time.

 

 

2. Crop DVD movie: If you want to cut the black edges of the DVD movie, you can click the "Cropping" , you can specify an area by setting the crop values, select an output aspect ratio. The available options are: Keep Original, full screen, 16:9 and 4:3.

 

 

3. Rotate DVD movie: Click the "Rotation" botton to rotate the DVD movie by +90°, -90°, Horizontal Flip, Vertical Flip, and you can preview the converted output effect immediately on the preview window.

 

 

4. Adjust video effects: Click the "Video Adjustments" button, you can then set the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Volume. You can also choose a special effect of your DVD movie such as "Emboss", "Negative", "Old film" and "Gray" from the drop-down list.

 

 

5. Merge DVD Titles, Chapters into one File

If you want to join several DVD chapters into one file, on the main interface, there is a check box "Merge into one file", select it, then you will only get one output file instead of several files by chapters.
